A web page or a listing which includes a virtual tour is intriguing and viewers spend on average 4 times longer on a page with a tour over a standard webpage- no one can avoid being attracted to the freedom of a virtual tour!  When completed, the tours can be shared instantly & as many times as you like via text message, Whatsapp, email & social media as well as embedding within a web page (as they are here on my site).

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the 360 virtual tour industry has rocketed as it has enabled people to 'visit' spaces such as property veiwings,  without leaving the comfort & safety of their own homes.   As well as all types of businesses, we can create virtual tours for properties on the market for sale or rental, either privately or with an estate agent.

How is a virtual tour created by Sarah Kay Photography?

1.  After initial discussions regarding all your requirements and quotes are agreed on etc, a date & time will be arranged for the shoot, along with an estimated time it will take to do the shoot.  This ensures you can continue to run your business and your day, with minimum disruption.

2. The day of the shoot...  All outdoor & indoor space is carefully considered & thoroughly prepared before it is photographed.   Each photograph is actually a flat, panoramic image which is later stitched together using specialist software.  Each panoramic photo that is taken is described as a 'hotspot marker' which is essentially, where the viewer automatically is stopped and they can look around 360 degrees until they move forward to the next 'hotspot'.  It is recommended that hotspots are no more than 3 metres apart for the tour to flow properly.  Once the space or rooms are prepared and looking their best,  the actual capturing of the images can be done very quickly with minimum disruption to your business.

3.  After the photoshoot, the images are then taken from the camera and uploaded to my computer where they are carefully edited to ensure the imagery is striking, bright and appealing to the eye.  Any blemishes or object removal can also be done at this stage but this would always be discussed before/during the shoot, especially if there were any particular requests or requirements.

4.  When the editing stage is finished & the images are looking nice, the photographs are then moved into another software which is where the virtual tour 'walk through' is built.

5.  Using high quality visuals and rich navigation options, we can also include a number of interactive features to help further promote your business, accomodation or house sale.  These could be information tags that viewers can click on with text & images to explain something about the space or even videos.  It is also possible to create links to external websites or individual pages if desired. Logos can be added in place of the tripod so your branding is visible and consistant.

6.  Once the tour is complete, you will be sent a version to approve via a simple link.  This link can be shared to as many people as you like *this is only while the link is active and it must be approved and completed before it is permanent.

7.  To have the tour show up on your web page is relatively easy... if you have control of your own website & have basic web skills.  If not, a web designer can do this very easily for you.  Basically, we send a long code of letters and numbers which you just cut & paste into the appropriate space in a html space in your website. It's a lot easier than it sounds!

Once the link is active and the tour is visible on your website, you can show it off straight away!   All you need to do is share it in any way you like;  Social media, Whatsapp, text message, email.

With viewers on average spending up to 4 times longer viewing a virtual tour over a standard web page,  you will be driving more traffic to your site or listing, increasing the chances of receiving a booking or making an appointment for a viewing.
